Love for a Lifetime - Choosing the perfect ring!

Wedding season is fast approaching and perhaps one of the most important factors is the ring! I have been planning my wedding since I was a little girl and have endless pins on Pinterest of decor inspiration, dresses and of course rings. Simone from The Royal Shop talks to us about the process of choosing the perfect ring and gives her advice.

Couples spend a great deal of their time seeking out the perfect rings and this search can be a long and daunting process. The Royal Shop, one of Barbados’ oldest family owned jewellers has a beautiful selection of wedding bands in 14k white and yellow gold, platinum and rings inlaid with white diamonds, black diamonds and other precious and semi-precious gemstones.

I love the antique feel of this "gents and ladies" set - simple yet stunning!

One good piece of advice is to narrow your choices before going shopping by answering a few simple questions:
Do you want your wedding band to be the same metal as your engagement ring? Does your fiancé want his ring to match the metal of his watch? Are you looking for something simple, extravagant or simply unique? Do you want your bands to include diamonds or gemstones? Do you want matching bands?
When you and your fiancé have answered these questions you are ready to meet the Royal Shop’s professional and well trained sales team who are ready to show you their vast collections of rings and help you make your final selection.

Overall the process of choosing a ring can be stressful to say the least. The team at The Royal Shop is dedicated to making it a stress free and enjoyable event. Nisha and Hiro Thani invite you to their #32 Broad Street location for a personal consultation on the 4Cs of buying your diamond rings. They will explain all you need to know about the Colour, Clarity, Cut and Carat of diamond buying while keeping you within your budget.

  1. Don't let yourself feel the pressure and buy an overly expensive ring. Stay within your budget by purchasing in a low season and doing all of the right research. And if you can't find the ring you want, head out of the wedding section and you just might stumble on what you're looking for.
