This small space bungalow designed by Chris Barrett is thoughtfully decorated maximizing its small square footage. I always appreciate an interior that makes good use of limited space and what this bungalow lacks in size it definitely makes up for in character. I love the exposed beams, hardwood floors and mix of traditional furniture with more casual pieces. See the whole story on Domaine and see more of Chris' portfolio here.
The contrast between the dark cabinets and white countertops in the kitchen is stunning, the open shelving keeps the space from feeling too heavy and the french doors allow in lots of natural light.
The dining room works double duty as a library and I love the placement of the table and the mixmatched seating of day bed and chairs which creates almost a banquette feel. The floor to ceiling bookcases make the most of the space as well as provide architectural detail.
The white colour pallette in the bedroom keeps the space feeling fresh and open, accent pieces such as the bedside table add interest and contrast.
