Dressed to Impress: The Oscar's Best

I am definitely no authority on fashion but I do enjoy it and love following along online or tv as stars walk the red carpet, I also look forward to the very entertaining (and inappropriate ) Fashion Police on the E Network. This year The Oscar's red carpet was full of show stopping looks that reinvented old hollywood glamour in a classy and non-costumey way. I was rather pleased with myself when I noticed that almost all of my favourites were listed on Vogues top ten list. All images via Vogue. See my best below,

Lupita Nyong'o chose a pale-blue pleated chiffon Prada gown with a gasp-inducing neckline: almost to the navel, paired with a Fred Leighton headband.

Angelina Jolie in a long-sleeved Elie Saab gown that featured a sheer bodice and a thin leather belt and sparkling embellishments.

Cate Blanchett in an Armani Privé gown of nude mesh and sequins.

Jennifer Lawrence wore a bright-red peplumed Dior gown, paired with a Harry Winston necklace that draped down her back.

I saved the best for last because Meryl Streep is a boss! Dressed in Lanvin she looked elegant and timeless as always.

Stay tuned for my Runway to Room series: Oscar Edition coming soon!
