Runway to Room

My first Runway to Room feature was so well received that I knew I had to do another one. Fashion design and Interior design are two of my favourite loves and the blog is dedicated to just that. I have been following the fashion blogs especially closely the past few weeks as fashion weeks around the world are in full swing. This Runway to Room series is inspired by 2014 fashion on runways from London, Paris and Mercedes Benz New York Fashion week where some of my favourite designers such as Marchesa, Burberry and Hermes showcased their collections.

This look from Marchesa's Ready To Wear collection which was recently shown at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is distinctly Marchesa with the colour palette, fabric choices and stunning details. The room has the same simple aesthetic with special details such as the folding screen, chic chandelier and wallpaper.

This look from Tory Burch's Spring Summer 2014 is fresh and modern. The outfit is crisp and simple yet the overlay and scalloping add interest. Similarly to the outfit the white bedding and green piping are simply elegant and the wallpaper add a touch of whimsy.

Cara Delivigne is perfection in this pretty in pink ensemble from Burberry's Prorsum Spring collection that debuted at London Fashion Week. The outfit is feminine with stunning touches, lots of detail and just enough bling. The bedrooms pale pink paint colour along with simple white bedding incorporate the same colour scheme while the tufted ottoman adds the luxury and the chandelier is the perfect accent.

Diane Von Furstenburg went glam with this look at  her Spring collection at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week show. A detailed gold and black art deco esque bodice and simple sillhoute make this look glamorous but not over the top. In the kitchen the range hood and stove have gold accents which elevate the space and add interest and character.
