Inspired Interiors : The Beverly Hills Hotel

The Beverly Hills Hotel is known for the dusty pink of it's buildings and bungalows, the tufted pink velvet couches in the lobby and perhaps most of all the iconic Martinique wallpaper which has been the inspiration for not only interior designers but fashion designers as well. "Martinique" was created especially for The Beverly Hills Hotel in 1942 and is one of the most recognizable wallpapers in the world with its distinctive design.

The original Martinique Banana Leaf wallpaper is still available and has been used in more current projects such as Nicky Hilton's breakfast room which is a super chic and modern take on the colour scheme and overall aesthetic of the Beverly Hills Hotel.

There are also other fresh and modern interpretations in both fashion and interiors that allow anyone to incorporate a little glamour into their wardrobe or space without the commitment of wallpaper. Some of my picks below!
