Outdoor Living

I know I have been flooding my page full of outdoor spaces recently but there is no better place to be when the weather is so amazing. One of the key components to a relaxing outdoor space is somewhere to lie down and recharge. Below are a few of my dream outdoor beds that are perfect for relaxing.

Designer Profile: Martyn Lawrence Bullard

I have been super busy today working on a job and launching my new website - Love Design BarbadosHowever I am never too busy to browse some of my favourite designers work. While watching what is arguably my favourite tv show - Million Dollar Decorators I came to love Martyn Lawrence Bullard and his work. His eclectic style is so diverse and exciting that it was hard not to love it. Some of my favourite projects below.

Coastal Living

I have been up at my beach house for the last two weeks and I'm finally back to reality BUT that doesn't stop me from daydreaming about coastal inspired spaces such as this one. The rope beds are genius along with the wallpaper and orange accents. This space is a perfect example of a less than obvious coastal space.

Home Tour

I am super excited to be featuring my first home tour today. I have to admit it is not an idea original to me, some of my favourite blogs such as Made by Girl and Apartment Therapy also do home tours and because it's one of my favourite elements I thought you all might enjoy it also. This fabulous kitchen is that of fellow Barbadian blogger: Ally Lewis of the Ruffled Lace.
Some of my favourite elements in this kitchen are the subway travertine tiles, recessed lighting and the outdoor eating area.

Wall Art

I am always looking at new and innovative ways to decorate and I recently came across these amazing vinyl wall art decals. They allow you to change the décor of a room whenever and as often as you like. They are available online at Vinyl Wall Art and start as low as $6.00 us for a decal. There is also a company in Barbados that makes them and you can customize and design your own. For more info, email me

Happy August

I've been really bad recently with maintaining my blog because I have been up at the beach house and had no access to the internet. While catching up on my blog reading today I came across this gorgeous outdoor space and couldn't think of a better image to leave you with as I have been reading and relaxing in a space (much less glamorous) similar to this one. Whatever you are doing have a happy August! Lots of love.

Masculine spaces

I was so flattered to hear the other day that I have a male audience but I did feel a bit bad because I have never in all my hundreds of blogs featured a masculine space. When looking for masculine spaces I tried to avoid the stereotypical man cave and look for spaces that had masculine elements without being overly cliché.
