Room of the Day* Love from Venice

This space is such a breath of fresh air, I especially LOVE the bright colours and the prints in mirrored frames. I have a project when I return home in a couple days and I am taking colour inspiration from this room for sure!

Love Design*

I have to admit that I have been very unhappy recently with my blog and have been searching for the perfect room to feature and pull it out of its funk. I have not yet found the perfect room but some beautiful rooms none the less. Enjoy!

Cozy and Chic

I sit here in the charming Hotel Cecilia just seconds away from l'arc de Triomphe wishing that the iPad 1 had the capacity to take pictures so I could share with you what I am experiencing in magnifique Paris. While this stunning room featured in Cottages and Gardens may not be categorized as traditional "French style" I am loving it, especially the mirrored wall! J'adore le design *

Two days and I will be blogging from Paris - very excited! :)

Eco Friendly Escape

My sister has been urging me for a while to do a feature on eco friendly interiors and this amazing master bath in California is the perfect place to start. This four-story hillside house was designed by Scott Lee and built by popular green builder McDonald Construction & Development and is described as "high design with high sensibility". I couldn't agree more.

Tropical Chic - House Beautiful

While I am grateful magazines are available online nothing beats the real thing. I remember seeing this AMAZING house on House Beautiful's website and liking it but when I saw it again in the magazine it jumped off the page at me! Designed by Meg Braff this Palm beach home embodies Tropical Chic and I love every bit of it. I always have difficulty differentiating between coastal and tropical if there even is a difference (see post here) but for some reason when I saw this space the first thing that came to mind was tropical chic. The colour scheme is categorically coastal but the overall feel is tropical. Some of my
favourite elements in this home are the vintage chest and Jane Wilner linens in the guest room, chippendale dining chairs in the dining room and the Chinese fretwork on the staircase. What are your favourite elements and do you categorize this space as coastal or tropical?

Grasscloth and Gloss

I have a weakness for office spaces and a weakness for grasscloth wallpaper so its no wonder that I'm swooning for this space. Not to mention the amazing glossy desk, brass branch lamp, drawer pulls and that unique chandelier. This office may not be overly practical for me as the work space is quite small and at any given time I usually have a large volume of things on my desk top but it is perfect for a home office and most definitely pretty.

Enchanting Elegance

Everything about this room by Kelley Interior Design is perfection. Usually I talk about my favourite features of a space but it's safe to say I love everything! Floor to ceiling drapes, lucite table, gold mirror, upholstered chair, lamps, even the waste basket is stunning! This area exemplifies elegance and class. What are some of your favourite elements?
